With many members of the UFSL coming and going there is one team that remains looking very strong, the Seattle Stormtroopers. The Stormtroopers came into the season looking to win a championship with a stout defense and an offense led by a fast paced running game featuring Ikechukwu Osuwah. The Stormtroopers are currently 2-1 after a huge 34-3 over the New York Nightmare. Free safety KJ Bryant has not played up his own personal standard but had this to say about his defense, “Our defense is practicing hard and playing harder. We have proved that we can play football and that defense wins games. We are going to go in week in and week out ready to prove that we are here to stay and win the first ever UFSL championship.” Bryant also said that even though his stats haven’t showed much that he is training hard and is trying to make plays when necessary. With a tough defense such as the Stormtroopers it is extremely hard to put up stats from the safety position when the league is very run dominated. Bryant was touted to have the most tackles from the safety position but after the first three weeks it does not seem to be in the future for him. We’ll wait and see what happens in the up coming weeks.
