Week 1: Miller vs. Jones Last night, the official schedule for the inaugural season of the UFSL was announced. And one of the first things that I noticed was the interesting matchup that we have in the very first week of the (regular) season. The game that catches my attention in that first week would be that between the New York Nightmare, featuring number one overall draft pick Christopher Miller, and the St. Peter Griffins, featuring number two overall draft pick Darrell Jones. Why, you might ask? Well, as far as we know, Miller will be playing wide receiver and Jones cornerback. And because these two guys are the top two draftees, after all, you can probably count that both will be playing number one for their respective positions. And that, of course, would mean that these two will be working against each other all game. Of course, this is the inaugural season of the league, so the passing games of any team, really, more than likely won’t be the vocal point of the game. But still, it is rather peculiar and should be something fun to watch for in this game. As for who will win this matchup, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Of course, you can probably guess who would be my pick.
