One of the preseason predictions for the league was which receiver would have the most Yac yards on the season. Other than a few outliers, the vast majority of the votes went for Chris Miller, who is a good player and understandably would get some votes. There are other players, however, who might stand toe to toe with Miller and fight him for the title. One of these, of course, is Devin Street. After the preseason games (yes, it's only preseason) Street leads the league in Yac yards with 16. This came on a performance of 4 catches for 71 yards, which is a solid game when passing offenses aren't yet developed much. Miller had 11 Yac yards, all coming during one reception for 30 yards. Jimmy Graham, the second highest player in terms of Yac yards, had 15 Yac yards, with a performance of 1 reception for 33 yards. The only other player in the league with double digit Yac yards in their preseason game was Jordan Oakley, who ran for 11 Yac yards on a single completion of 18 yards.
As has been said, this is just preseason, and no one can really draw much of a definitive conclusion from it as far as a clear winner. However, the one conclusion that can be drawn is that Miller won't be running away with it like the predictions indicate. Street, Graham, or even Oakley might surprise some people, although in the case of some, it might not even be considered much of a surprise.
