SW News-
Early this morning there was a serious crash on I-75 near Bay City, Michigan. An early estimate puts around 43 cars in this pile up. Many are thought to be seriously injured as crews continue to pick through the cars for those still trapped.
Accident location
Michigan Highway Patrol says around 5:30 a.m. this morning as an intense band of snow was passing though the area visibility was reduced to zero. Even though this is Michigan many drivers did not slow down figuring there would be no one else on the road at this hour. Around 5:45 this morning the first car lost control while trying to pass through a snowdrift and spun around multiple times and came to rest in the middle of the highway. Soon after, another car smashed into the first doing about 50 miles an hour. This started a chain reaction that soon had 41 others cares piled up behind. It was about fifteen minutes after the first car crashed that EMT was notified. It took emergency crew approximately twenty minutes to reach the site and had to use extreme caution for other cars. The highway was shut down and crews started their search for victims.
VFL player Stricker Williams was one of the first to be pulled from the wreckage. He is said to be seriously injured. We managed to get a quick world with Michigan Highway Patrol. “He is in rough shape; we are not sure the extent of his injuries at the moment. We don’t want to focus on just one person, we need to find a way to get the rest of these people out of this mess and off to the hospital as soon as possible. There could be people dying as we speak, so if you can excuse me I need to get back.”

We will have more information as the story develops. As of right now there are no fatalities but only 15 of the 43 people involved have been pulled from the wreckage. Our prayers go out to those still trapped inside.
