I meant to have this in an actual draft, but that didn't happen. So I'm going to have each TEAM face off against each other week by week in a high points format. Welcome to the UFSL Fantasy Football League.
Most points = 5
Second Most points = 3
Third Most = 2
Least = 0
Each week I will tally up the fantasy points each team compiles based on these rules:
Offense:
Quarterbacks (QB), Running Backs (RB), Wide Receivers (WR), Tight Ends (TE)
6 pts per rushing or receiving TD
6 pts for player returning or recovering a fumble for TD
4 pts per passing TD
2 pts per rushing or receiving 2 pt conversion (note: teams do not receive points
for yardage gained during the conversion)
2 pts per passing 2 pt conversion
1 pt per 10 yards rushing or receiving
1 pt per 25 yards passing
0.5 pt per reception
0.25 pt per completion
Bonus Points
2 pts per rushing or receiving of 150 yards or more
2 pts per passing of 350 yards or more
Penalty Points
-2 pts per intercepted pass
-2 pts per fumble lost
-0.25 pt per drop
Kickers (K)
5 pts per 50+ yard FG made
4 pts per 40-49 yard FG made
3 pts per FG made, 39 yards or less
2 pts per rushing, passing, or receiving 2 pt conversion
1 pt per Extra Point made
Penalty Points
-2 pts per missed FG (0-39 yds)

7 pts for 2-6 points allowed

2 pts per safety
1 pt per sack
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Each week I will do an overview of how each team did and what their keys to victory (or defeat) were. Any questions? Good! We'll take a look at Week 1.
Quarterbacks[/u][/b]
[red]Rock Afella - 7.69[/red]
[purple]Lawson Forbes - 4.19[/purple]
Landon Carter - 3.6
[blue]Tom Rayder - 3.06[/blue]
Despite the blowout, Rock Afella had a decent game.[/size]
All in all it was not a great week for quarterbacks. This is no surprise though, seeing as it is only Week 1 and passing attacks are still adjusting and growing. We should expect both QB's and wide receivers to have a big boost in points each week. The Predator's Rock Afella was helped in a way by his team playing catch up. This caused him to lead the league in yards this week and gave him the edge for high points.
Running Backs[/i]
Ikechukwu Osuwah - 29.2
[purple]Maple Syrup - 5.55[/purple]
[red]Elijah McNugget - 3.55[/red]
[blue]Brandon Iceman - 2.8[/blue]
Ikechukwu Osuwah had a huge dayagainst the Predators,
having the highest points in the league.[/size]
It looks like Ikechukwu Osuwah won by a long shot. His 98 yard touchdown run gave him enough to be the first player to earn bonus point s and even without that run he had 104 yards on 31 carries, a 3.4 yard-per-carry average. He was also helped by the Stormtroopers running out the clock against the Predators and his fantasy owners sure want to see more of that.
Fullbacks[/u][/i]
[purple]Brutal Pancakes - 1.35[/purple]
Mega Man - 1.1
[red]Default FB (lets call him Jimmy from now on) - 0.1[/red]
[blue]Default FB (and I'm going to name you Scott) - 0[/blue]
Expect 1-2 points out of Pancakes (above) and
Mega Man each week[/size][/center]
Yes I'm tracking fullbacks. Get over it, I was almost a fullback and they need some loving too! Brutal Pancakes barely sniffed out Mega man with his catch for 5 yards. Don't expect these guys to put up amazing numbers unless I start tracking pancakes... hmmm... nah.
Wide Receivers[/i][/b]
[red]Staphid Jarvis - 6.95[/red]
[red]Devin Street - 4.9[/red]
[blue]Jimmy Graham - 4.9[/blue]
[blue]Christopher Miller - 4.85[/blue]
[blue]Dave Hester - 4.05[/blue]
[purple]Marcus Kennard - 1.9[/purple]
[purple]Carmanjello Williams - 1.75[/purple]
[blue]Default-WR (You are now Jorge) - 1.65[/blue]
Jordan Oakley - 0.75
Keon Henderson - (-0.25)
Despite the issues surrounding Reno's receivers, Jarvis had a good game.
But did those troubles help cause those 5 drops?
Totals
[red]Reno Predators - 16.9[/red]
[blue]New York Nightmare - 14.4[/blue]
[purple]St. Peters Griffins - 6.75[/purple]
Seattle Stormtroopers - 0.5
Well it looks like when your team is losing, even by a small margin, Madden will turn to the passing game to play catch up. Both team that fell short of a W this week had the top 5 scorers in fantasy. Staphid Jarvis could have had ridiculous numbers if it weren't for his 5 drops. Expect to start seeing numbers around 15-17 per receiver by the end of the season when teams get better.
Tight Ends[/i][/b]
[purple]Cobra Bubbles - 3.1[/purple]
Aldous Steele - 2.4
[red]Dwayne Carter Jr. - 2.2[/red]
[blue]Usain Bolt - (-0.5)[/blue]
Everyone knew that Cobra Bubbles could block,
but he had a good receiving week this week as well.
Well owners who went for a tight end early this season cannot be too happy with New York's Usain Bolt right now. He was held without a catch and dropped two passes, leaving him over two and a half points behind third place Dwayne Carter. You wee actually better off just leaving your tight end spot empty this week, but do not expect this to happen often as Bolt is known to come back strong after a poor week.
Defense[/u][/i]
Seattle Stormtroopers - 18
[purple]St. Peter Griffins - 15[/purple]
[blue]New York Nightmare - 5[/blue]
[red]Reno Predators - 4[/red]
CJ Jordan's interception return for a touchdown
gave the Stormtroopers a big help against Reno.
Seattle's CJ Jordan gave them the edge over the Griffins this week with his interception for a touchdown. Other than that, their defensive stats were nearly identical. Both had four sacks and two turnovers. Despite being the only team to record a safety, the Reno Predators woes in stopping Ikechukwu Osuwah caused them to have the lowest points this week.
Kickers[/u][/i]
[purple]St. Peter Griffins - 15[/purple]
[blue]New York Nightmare - 9[/blue]
Seattle Stormtroopers - 8
[red]Reno Predators - 5[/red]
...We still don't know any kickers names, who is this?
Why don't these guys have names? You're all racist against kickers. It should have seemed obvious that the winner of a 9-6 game would have the highest scoring kicker in the league. The St. Peter Griffins kicker hit 51-, 45-, and 30-yard field goals to give his team the win and he earned them a win in the kickers column as well.
So lets tally our totals shall we?
Totals
Seattle Stormtroopers - 62.8
[purple]St. Peter Griffins - 47.97[/purple]
[red]Reno Predators - 37.44[/red]
[blue]New York Nightmare - 33.76[/blue]
Surprisingly is was not the Reno Predators in last place this week despite being blown out. New York's lack of offensive as a whole made it impossible for them to accumulate any kind of point totals and they need to get the ball moving in order for them to play catch up.
Week 1 Standings
