Sources have come out of Reno stating that they plan on moving their last draft pick, WR Dave Hester, to the position of SS. This move seems pretty standard by regular sim league moves, but Dave Hester is apparently having none of it. He has told team management that under no circumstances will he be changing position.
This stance is something very rare by sim league standards, as most players just want to win… but apparently Hester is not one of those players. He wants to be the league’s top WR, and he cannot do that by playing SS.
This whole situation must be really awkward for Reno management, as until today they must have felt they drafted an inactive player to play SS for them, but now a wrench has been thrown in those plans, and they could be left wondering what to do. With Hester unwilling to make the move, possibly one of the other two WRs, who will be nowhere near as good as Hester, will make the move, as they seem like more team players – as opposed to Hester selfish attitude.
Only time will tell how this situation is dealt with, but we hope that it does not get out of hand.
