Where will Demaryius Nicks land? After joining the USFL one day after the inaugural draft, Nicks is once again on the outside looking in. Yet to receive an offer, Nicks is anxious about his future and if he actually will have a future in playing professional football.
"Man, I am real worried. I have not had a single offer. I just do not get it. I bring everything a General Manager would want to the table; size, speed, athleticism, charism, etc. and yet I still do not have one single contract offer. I really do not have a preference as to where I would like to play either, but staying at least somewhat close to my home of North Carolina would be nice. I will play wherever though, as I am just excited to get my career jump-started," explained Demaryius Nicks on his future.
I know one thing is for sure; If he wants to stay close to home, he better hope that the New York Nightmare extend him a contract offer. I am sure that he knows his role will likely be as a slot-receiver and will not be shouldering a team's workload, so that will likely help him. Taking the pressure off of Nicks will certainly help his play and hopefully get him back into a National Football League uniform.
