SEATTLE -- Aldous Steele, quarterback out of William & Mary selected in the 9th Round of the Inagural UFSL Draft, has come to terms on a contract with the Stormtroopers. Originally stating he would not play anywhere other than his collegiate position, he supposedly liked what he saw in Seattle and, after a few sacrifices by fellow draftees, agreed to play as a TE this season.
Despite Steele's draft position as the 35th overall pick out of 38 selections and his recent position change, the Stormtroopers see him as playing a big role with the team this season and beyond. When asked about his draft position, Steele had this to say, "Yeah, I obviously was picked real late in the draft. I know I'm much better than my draft position would indicate and I'm ready to show it on the field. I won't be outworked and as long as I know that and can stick to that statement, the other three teams are going to be kicking themselves for passing me over nine times each."
Clearly, Aldous Steele has his work cut out for him if he is going to make a smooth transition to tight end. But, with his draft position, expectations are very low and anything even above average would be a nice grab in the ninth round.
