CORAL GABLES, Fla ---- Miami (FL) junior defensive back Brandon McGee was dismissed from the team today following the teams 23-19 loss against the Florida State Seminoles. The teams coaches and athletic directors refused to comment on the developing story, but a few comments were given from teammates.
"One day he was there, and the next day he wasn't," quarterback Jacory Harris told one of our reporters. "The coaches didn't really say much about it, so we just gotta keep playing ball."
"We lost one of our brothers today. We know that we have to keep on going without him, but it still hurts to lose a close friend." said JoJo Nicolas, a senior defensive back that will probably see extended time now that McGee is out of the picture.
As no one can truly give the true story, we are left with questions as to why McGee, who was beginning to come into his own this year, would be dismissed following an impressive performance against an ACC rival. Our reporters caught up with Brandon, but could only get a quick word as he hopped in the back of a taxi on a busy Southern Florida street.
He simply said, "You'll see me again..."
