New York, NY- Newly signed quarterback Tom Rayder has had the opportunity to look over his team’s offensive weapons, and he has had only positive things to say about them.
“When I was waiting to get drafted, I was expecting to go somewhere that I would have some good players around me, but the Nightmare have completely blown away my expectations. To have Chris Miller, Jimmy Graham and Ron Mexico catching my passes and the running game or Brandon Iceman to take some of the pressure off—I’m in paradise right now. There are so many great athletes and offensive threats here, I don’t even know who my first read is going to be. It’s going to be a different man every time, and that’s a great sign. You can quote me on this, when this passing game excels, it will be in a large part because of the weapons I have around me. I’m extremely excited about this season.”
Rayder was drafted seventeenth overall in the UFSL’s inaugural draft by the New York Nightmare, and shortly afterwards signed a 3-year contract worth $10 Million guaranteed. The Nightmare front office began making moves to finalize the team’s depth chart, and now the only major position not completely taken care of is fullback, which the brass feels they can cover fairly easily. New York looks to be the most dangerous offense in the league this year, and that doesn’t even take into account their excellent defense, which should give the offense the ball for a good portion of the game.
