7) Player salary will not be carried over from year to year. Any salary money which has not been spent by the end of the regular season (the posting of statistics for the last game of the regular season) is lost. Any player who fails to spend his salary during a season may be released by his team without penalty during the offseason. This decision must be made prior to the Draft.

Why wouldn't you be able to carry over salary?

Some players have done it before so that they can buy something better their 2nd season. Besides, I honestly think that if it's YOUR salary you should be able to spend it or not as you please. It shouldn't go away... Do player items purchased with that salary go away after the season?

I wanted to carry it over because I wanted to get a $2m item next season. I guess it's a moot point since the items in the store aren't worth a whole lot anyway.
