AP Newsbreak: Dick Lane and Zach Voss Exchange Words

Dick “Night Train” Lane hasn’t been one to shy away from controversy. The 83 year old corner who recently signed with Reno had proclaimed last week he would be in the “conversation” at the end of the season, recently exchanged words with free agent cornerback Zach Voss.
Voss has been notorious for coming into leagues, proclaiming his greatness, then subsequently disappointing or disappearing. He is almost always drafted high, but very rarely backs it up. Voss is currently being targeted by the St. Peter Griffins to play strong safety.
“Look ma’ine, I ain’t tryna’ start no jazz, but you gotta’ be kiddin’ me if some ova’valued hooligan is gonna’ come up in her’ and say he [the] best. I know I ain’t the best right now. I’ve said that ova’ and ova’, but I’m betta’ than him, and I’ll be there at the end of the year and you can take that to the bank,” Lane said.
Reportedly, Zach Voss had claimed that he was the future first overall pick, and Dick Lane responded saying, “[You’re] Not even the best corner in your draft class.” The talking got somewhat heated, and Voss even asked the 8-time Pro Bowler, “Who are you again?” claiming he had a better “resume.”
Eventually, others saw the exchange of words, and joined in. League official Jimmy Graham jumped in saying, “Voss [your] extensive resume, outside of VHL, is consisted of high wasted draft picks on you as you fizzle out quickly. [I’m] Just saying.”
Griffins defensive back Darrell Jones also commented on the subject. “Am I the only one who finds it funny that he [Voss] said he wasn't planning on being committed to this league, yet he's still talking shit about being the best?”
With the lack of buzz surrounding the UFSL, it was somewhat surprising to see the heated discussion coming from two new players to the league. Stormtroopers linebacker Jack Apple even described it as, “Exciting.”
Some, though, don’t quite buy that the argument was even real. Some think it was staged, and the argument itself is proof of an old conspiracy.
“Look, you can say whatever you want, but the whole thing doesn’t make sense. I thought it was legitimate until Jack Apple got involved, but now I’m convinced that there has to be some sort of extraterrestrial involvement, or motivation, or something like that,” said Brandon Iceman.
Brandon Iceman isn’t necessarily alone. As part of a History Channel special, Kyle Broflovski of DeVry University claimed that Star Wars probably wasn’t a fictional event, but a real one that was so unbelievable, that it could only be turned into a T.V. show. Broflovski goes on to explain that the resurgence in the interest of Stormtroopers can only be explained by the idea that they were always here to begin with.
“Well, the History Channel said it. It must be true, right? I think it is possible.” said Mr. Edd.
In the opening game of the season, Mr. Edd and Dick Lane take on the Stormtroopers at home in Reno. This is a pivotal matchup in the Western Conference.
