Ross Releases New Song for Nightmare Hip Hop Magazine
New York Nightmare CB Rick Ross has released a song on Youtube this week, something he dubs the “Nightmare Anthem”, in his own words. The song is called “Work”, and it features fellow Maybach Music Group member Meek Mill. Ross has been balancing both his music and football careers, something unheard of in sports today. Ross of course was a successful musician before joining the UFSL, and it appears that his status as a professional athlete will not hinder his love for rap music and spreading his message.
This begs the question, is Ross’s rap side jobs taking away from his performance on the field? While Ross’s agent adamantly denies any interference into his football life, some experts believe Ross owes it to his teammates to put his aspirations as a hip hop superstar aside during the football season. Former coach Mike Ditka had this to say:
“In my day, coaches wouldn’t let this guy be a musician on the side. This is like when Shaq tried to do all those different things at the beginning of his career. Come on Rick, you’re a great football player. Focus on memorizing the playbook and watching video instead of rapping about how much money you have and how much cocaine you consume. Get real.”
