Following an embarrassing Week 1 loss to the Seattle Stormtroopers, Predators WR Dave Hester was extremely unhappy with his team’s performance. Starting WR Jervis had an embarrassing game with a whopping five, yes, count it FIVE drops.
After seeing the post game report, Hester made a public cry to be given more playing time, and it is hard to say he shouldn't be getting it. It is understandable to give the GM a starting spot by default, but when he falls flat on his face in his first game, some may think you should give the player who would give the team a better chance to win a bit more playing time.
Up to this point in the season, Hester has already been quite a nuisance toward the team, openly questioning management. Should this behavior from Hester continue, he may be in line for one of many things: If he is not given an increase in playing time, his creator may decide to go inactive, claiming the waste of time. He could also request a trade, but his team shouldn’t be looking for more than a late round pick for the obviously troubled receiver.
Of course, the is also the chance the team comes to its senses, and starts their number one weapon, instead of letting him ride the pine. Time will only tell how this plays out.
