Officials are looking into just how Griffins corner back Darrell Jones is picking off passes in every game this year. Jones' terrible catching ability was his big weakness in college and now it seems that miraculously he has gained the ability to catch any pass thrown his way. Many believe he is using the illegal "stick-em" gloves made famous in the movie The Replacements and Jones swears that he is getting lucky and working hard.
"I just happen to be in the right place at the right time. Quarterbacks are throwing the ball right to me and it would really be embarrassing if I dropped picks that easy. Also, our GM told me and Lynch that every time we drop a pick we have to do 300 push ups. I'm in shape, but I don't want to be doing THAT."
*Lynch hobbles over and collapses*
Jones
"Hey Lynch, whats wrong?"
Lynch
"Remember those... 5... deflections... I was so... proud of... last... week?"
Jones
"Yeah what about them?"
Lynch
"Well... Mr. Hoang... said I should have... caught them all... and made... me do... fifteen hundred... pushups... I can't even count that high..."
*Lynch then passes out and Jones Carries him to the locker room*
"See why I ain't dropping no passes?"
*As Jones walks away, you see a glove somehow sticking to his back.*
