We finally get to go over two weeks worth of Fantasy Stats! The question is, how will we do it? Will we combine the scores together and tally them that way? As much as that would be easier, it would not keep the scoring going in an even manner so we will go over each week one at a time. Time to hit the numbers!
I hope you remember the scoring rules because I do not feel like writing them again. If you need a reminder they can be found here.
Week 3
Quarterbacks[/i][/b]
[purple]Lawson Forbes - 13.66[/purple]
[red]Rock Afella - 11[/red]
[black]Landon Carter - 8.82[/black]
[blue]Tom Rayder - 3.73[/blue]
Forbes did some work running the ball this week.[/size][/center]
It looks like some passing games are finally starting to get on track with two passing touchdowns happening for Reno and Seattle. The surprising leader was Lawson Forbes though, who had an average day passing the ball but had a 21 yard touchdown run.
Running Backs
[purple]Maple Syrup - 31.8[/purple]
[black]Ikechukwu Osuwah - 13.15[/black]
[blue]Brandon Iceman - 8.93[/blue]
[red]Elijah McNugget - 1.8[/red]
Syrup (left) and Pancakes (right) are turning into
one serious running threat.
Records were broken yet again this week when St Peter running back Maple Syrup ran for an amazing 238 yards and a touchdown. He almost had another one to end the game but the officials called it back, saying the ball was not snapped before the clock ran out. Ikechukwu Osuwah had a decent game, trying to keep pace with Syrup in the MVP race. He ended the day with 62 yards and and touchdown. He also ran back a kick for a touchdown, helping out the Seattle D/ST.
Fullbacks[/i][/b]
[red]Jimmy Fullback - 0[/red]
[blue]Scott Fullback - 0[/blue]
[black]Mega Man - (-0.05)[/black]
[purple]Brutal Pancakes - (-0.25)[/purple]
Pancakes was to busy making blocks like this
to have much fantasy impact this week.
Very bad week for fullbacks as a group, and it seems like the robots are having the best numbers of all of them. Dropped passes are really killing these guys numbers.
Wide Receivers[/u][/i]
[black]Keon Henderson - 25.3[/black]
[red]Staphid Jervis - 15.1[/red]
[purple]Carmanjello Williams - 6.2[/purple]
[red]Devin Street - 6.2[/red]
[blue]Christopher Miller - 6.1[/blue]
[purple]Marcus Kennard - 4.1[/purple]
[blue]Jimmy Graham - 3.75[/blue]
[black]Jordan Oakley - 3.25[/black]
[red]Dave Hester - (-0.5)[/red]
Could this be Keon Henderson's break out week?
Seattle fans sure hope so.[/size][/center]
Totals
[black]Seattle Stormtroopers - 28.55[/black]
[red]Reno Predators - 20.8[/red]
[purple]St. Peter Griffins - 10.3[/purple]
[blue]New York Nightmare - 9.85[/blue]
With better quarterback numbers, come better receiver numbers. This week had the least amount of dropped passes seen in the league so far and a few found ways to take their receptions to the house. Both Henderson and Reno's Staphid Jervis reeled in long touchdowns to break away from their fantasy competition.
Tight Ends[/i][/b]
[red]Dwayne Carter Jr. - 7.45[/red]
[purple]Cobra Bubbles - 3.55[/purple]
[black]Aldous Steele - (-0.25)[/black]
[blue]Usain Bolt - (-0.25)[/blue]
Tight ends were fairly silent this week,
but Carter's four catches gave him an edge.
Again it was a pretty slow week for tight ends. Dwayne Carter Jr. had the high points on the day reeling in four catches for 57 yards. Usain Bolt owners are pulling their hair out by now with Bolt failing to produce positive numbers yet again. He was supposed to be the stud of the tight end class and it turns out he is the dud.
Defense
[black]Seattle Stormtroopers - 19[/black]
[purple]St. Peter Griffins - 18[/purple]
[blue]New York Nightmare - 5[/blue]
[red]Reno Predators - 1[/red]
Ikechukwu Osuwah's kick return touchdown gave the
Seattle D/ST the boost they needed.
Once again the St. Peter defense dominated, but it was the Seattle Stormtroopers who came out on top this time with help from Ikechukwu Osuwah on special teams. He brought a kick back 92 yards to tally the first special teams touchdown of the year. St. Peter also had two defensive touchdowns.
Kickers[/i][/u]
[black]Seattle Stormtroopers - 16[/black]
[purple]St. Peter Griffins - 9[/purple]
[red]Reno Predators - 4[/red]
[blue]New York Nightmare - 3[/blue]
The Seattle kicker with no name was on fire this week
The only real money story here comes from Seattle, with their kicker going 4-4 with three extra points.
Time To Tally Totals
Totals[/i][/b]
[purple]St. Peter Griffins - 86.06[/purple]
[black]Seattle Stormtroopers - 84.70[/black]
[red]Reno Predators - 46.05[/red]
[blue]New York Nightmare - 30.26[/blue]
As expected, the Griffins and Stormtroopers stayed neck and neck with each other. This has been the closest week by far for the top two spots but the Griffins came out on top largely due to Maple Syrup breaking the fantasy points record that Ikechukwu Osuwah set in week one. Its clear that the early season fight for MVP is between these two superstars.
