In the New York Nightmare’s most recent game against the St. Peter Griffins, quarterback Tom Rayder had arguably his best game to date, completing 11 of 22 passes for 122 yards, while unfortunately throwing one interception. However, the Griffins topped the Nightmare, 16-6. This has been the story this year for the Nightmare, who through four games have yet to reach the endzone. They have improved week-to-week, but not enough to beat their opponents. With several of their top weapons returning to the weight room, they should be able to finally improve enough to get their first win.
“A lot of the guys have been missing from the weight room lately, and obviously it shows on the field,” stated Rayder, “I’m not saying that they should be in the weight room when they have something more important going on, obviously that’s okay, but for some guys to just disappear altogether doesn’t help. I’ve been trying to get as much time in the weight room as possible, to do my part for the team, but one man is not an entire offense, as I’m sure everyone has noticed so far. Now all I can do is watch some film and get ready for our game against Reno.”
Rayder has the lowest QB rating in the UFSL, but his receivers also have probably the highest number of drops in the league, boasting nine in one game. The Nightmare face the Predators next.
