The Predators entered Week 5 with a matchup against the worst team in the league, the New york Nightmare. Well someone forgot to tell the Predators Defense to show up. The Defense, which has been gashed throughout the season, allowed Brandon Iceman to do whatever he wanted. Iceman made his presence felt early with a crippling 95 yard touchdown run that set the tone for the rest of the game. Iceman ended the day with one hundred ninety five yards and two touchdowns on twenty three carries.
Why did the Predators struggle to contain Iceman you ask? Well one could point to the two newest Predators who were not dressed as they have yet to be cleared by the league to participate in games. League rule says rosters for games are set every two weeks. Since both Mathieu and SkyWalker signed after the deadline for week 4, they were forced to watch their new defense get gashed by Iceman and the Nightmare offense. These two linebackers should be able to turn the tide and help to stabilize what has been a porous defense so far this season. Will the addition of these two new players save the predators season or are they beyond help this late in the season?
