If that's how this league is going to be run, with no discussion, no reasons, no compromise... This league won't last until 2012.

Also Bash, if I remember correctly. You fought a TPE cap in the VFL because it "wouldn't hurt the activity of the league for one team to be dominant". Now you are fighting this because you don't want one team to be dominant. Pick one or the other. This is a simple idea, that I am more than happy to be the coordinator of. We could make a quick task force to come up with some simple rules so you can't have all deep sets on offense, or all heavy blitz's on defense. It's actually a step towards realism, which I believe is what we try to do in every other aspect here. If we aren't going for realism, I want a Green Skinned, 8'6", 375lb LOLB with 116 Speed and 97 Throw Power. I also want an 800million dollar, 1 year contract. I exaggerate to illustrate my point. This isn't the VFL and I reserve the right to change my opinion like any human with a brain, If I did say that or not. And for realism we have a creation template to prevent the hulk from being in the league. It's not going to happen. In short so you can move on and enjoy the league, throw a temper tantrum or quit

End of discussion. what league was it. its a simple question. if it tried and fell flat on its face, then thats a great reason, but where did it fail at?

It was about 4 or 5 years ago. I don't have a link for you, I'm sorry.

Can we get a name? Why didn't it work? Lets figure out ways we can make it work. Let's stop being so stubborn and open ourselves up to new things. 5 years ago, you would have used a different Madden. Maybe it will work better in 07.
Let's problem solve instead of just putting up walls.

I said 4 or 5 years ago and Madden 07 was out 5ish years ago. I have been in over 100 leagues, you think I remember the name of one league that lasted less than 1 season. I said it's not happening, I have experienced it and didn't like it. Sorry if you feel it is the only way your team can win or that it is important to the survival of this league but I am sure it is not. This league will last and it will be the way we want it. Anyone else is free to create a league in the way they see fit. I apprecite the suggestion but my experience says no.

I said it's not happening, I have experienced it and didn't like it. if you are gonna lie, you need to be better at it. i didn't press you about it earlier because i wanted to see if you'd at least encourage discussion. one team couldn't have raped the entire time, since it would have required uploading the playbook and giving it to a simmer. that means the entire league would have it, so all of the teams would be free to use it. your lie doesn't make sense. Sorry if you feel it is the only way your team can win so here the real reason comes out. don't give this BS line about your "experience" i knew there was some sort of alterior motive here. you've been in hundreds of leagues right? that means hundreds have failed, right? a real administrator should be looking for ways to set his league apart from all of the others, not making stuff up to protect the status quo. if this league is all about protecting you, which was your entire reasoning for the quoted section above, why did you even bother making a league? to my knowledge, there has never ever been a league with an effective scrambling quarterback. you could develop a power spread offense (auburn, florida, west virginia, nevada, etc) and this could become the first time a scrambling quarterback was useful. someone could actually try and build mike vick and have a chance at being relevant in this league. if you draft two running backs, you could actually use the pro set the way it was meant to be run. if you don't draft a quarterback you could run the single wing. yeah, it would work for a quarter and you'd epic fail the last three, but it would be possible. on defense you could expand on zone blitzing, because madden doesn't really do it very well. you could blitz the house or you could drop 11. sim leagues wouldn't be the exact same as they have been for the last 5 years. different isnt always bad. the best part? if the playbook is too good, anyone can use it.lets at least test it before we put one foot in the grave on the issue. Bash, you or someone else make the nastiest offensive playbook you can come up with and lets just see what happens.

you guys are trying to reinvent the wheel here.
have you seen how basic the madden playbook creator is?

Its a sim league. No one wants to be sitting and schemeing how to beat a custom made PB each week. Its time consuming enough to do it with ones already made. people sit and test sim? what is the difference? Cause those PBs are already made. This involves creating, test simming, editing, test simming, editing some more, test simming
